So yeah, shit...

Basically, I've been kicked out of my home. Yes, srsly. For the time being, I have to focus on finding a job to provide a solid income- then possibly find some appropriate accommodation; after checking a few sites, the only place that'd suit my budget would be some Student Accommodation or maybe a boarding house. I'd be living in a cramped room with some angst riddled teens, pretty much.

But hey, that's how it goes friends, the 'Real World' as they so adequately deem it- and I don't mind a bit. In fact, I love this, finally I can stand on my own and learn an important lesson in perspective and formalities: My father was a rich bitch, so I lived the Silver Spoon lifestyle which I hated.

Jobs Northeast sucks balls, as the only stable work I can find is either 'Gala Bingo Chat Room Moderator' or 'Sales Assistant'. Check this out, apparently I'd be offering advice on sofa designs while ensuring them a 'unique shopping experience'. How the fuck can I grant them unique shopping experience, explaining that there is no such sofa shaped like Chuck Norris' Fist? It's insane I tells ya!

Ridiculously, I'm still going on my long awaited venture to Morocco. I paid the full deposit and fee, so why not? All I need is spending money, some clean underwear and some insect repellent. I bought a cowboy hat to add to this rather novel experience, at least I'll look like less of a shemale flashing my headgear. God, it sucks having long hair.

Wii

Ah I finally caved, after playing the waiting game long enough I've acquired a Wii. The funny thing is, it was never a case of trying to find one, nope, it was more the fact that I've been outta cash recently. Saving up for that new 200w amp is going to get a lot harder than expected, but still, at least I have Zelda; that makes everything better

First and foremost, the Mii system is moronically entertaining. Despite still having troubles correctly positioning the mole on the right side of my cheek (For the love of God, don't ask), everything seems to be in-depth. I won't bore everyone with trivial, but just rest assured that everything is fluid and Wii Sports with personalised Miis is the funnest way to play. Getting the Wii online was a difficult matter on my behalf, I'm using a Linksys router which seemed impossible to pickup until only recently (Still having troubles with Wii Shop, though).

Red Steel, oh boy, you critics are wrong. This game is beautiful, I've never had such a vivid interest in an FPS since Half-Life, the entire control scheme is beautiful on so many levels. Sure, the fairly poor A.I and the scripted dialogue is annoying - but these are but minor flaws in comparison to the diamond that is the heart of the game.

Wii Play? Funny story, actually. I went out the other day to purchase a second controller my girlfriend could play, was left with either the Wii-Mote itself (£30) or the Wii Play and Wii-Mote bundle (£33). A little obvious that the choice was unanimous, Wii Play is an excellent time waster. £3 for an assortment of Mini-Games really does seem like a fat deal, Pool and Air Hockey are truly testament to this considering the motions are fluid and the details are excellent.

I'd love to bore everyone about my experiences with the Wii until the dawn of eternity, but quite frankly, I gots me some Zelda to play.

New PC? Yes! - Vista? What?

I've went long enough without a PC, yesterday was the time to purchase a new one. And for a change, I threw caution to the wind - bollocks to the 'Money Saver' uber pile of crap, I wanted something with "Umpth!". I wanted to run programs only steadily available to the C.I.A, I wanted games that'd make Uwi Bowl cry because of his adaptations.

Yesterday, we made the journey to PC World - We weren't apt to 'Extended Warranty' or 'The newest craptacular edition of Office', but still, wanted a tower that could handle current gen games - perhaps even future titles that require Duel Core machines. It was a cross between the 'HP 2129' and the 'Packard Bell iMedia 2489', and due to the extra processing power the HP became the victor.

Duel Core processor? Yes 1gig ram? Yes! nVidia Geforce 7500LE? YES! Windows Vista compatible? ...No. My reaction was something along them lines, the minute we brought that baby back home the decision was a cross between running 'Windows XP' or ask for an immediate refund. Oh c'mon, everyone knows Vista has its own epitaph the result of consistent bugs. The propaganda only worsened things, I panicked at the prospect of opening the Control Panel and the entire system blocking up (Hey, it happens).

But you know? Word of Mouth can only go so far. I haven't had a single encounter with a bug or malicious piece of software, every thing's been running smoothly. Hell, even the side panel gadgets aren't half bad: Despite being gimmicky, they're extremely cool. Windows Media Center? Ha, if I get a Xbox 360 instead of a Wii I'll have quite some fun streaming Testament anthems between systems. Microsoft Works? Watered down edition of Microsoft Office, but so what? It's free god damn it!

Once the Service Pack 1 goes public, I'm looking forward to most of the issues being tackled. But I haven't really had any trouble whatsoever so far, so why bother complaining?

In Mother Russia, Rome visits you

Taking into consideration exams are coming up, now seemed the ideal time to go on holiday! Italy, more specifically, Rome I am speaking of - Despite a few short indiscretions, I can safely say I will visit once more.

First and foremost, Italians are great. In all sincerity, I've been throughout the majority of Europe and only second to Norwegians, they are one of the awesomest. The taxi driver refreshed us on the local language, why Italian food and culture makes Britain look like a kebab house and what to do during our stay. The majority of the day after was spent exploring the lush landscape, scouting out places eat and famous landmarks - in other words, day one went extremely well.

The second day was a different story, though, as we decided to visit the Vatican. Bad idea, considering it cost 115 euro for a guided tour of the place itself - almost everywhere you turned was a gift shop with a smug nun at the counter. And the worst part? Not a penny of the proceeds goes to charity. Greedy bastards.

Aside from that, great time. I look forward to visiting in the near future.

I swear, computers hate me

Ok, this is starting to piss me off. After taking work seriously, for a brief moment, I decide working into the am won't do wonders for motivation and decide to switch off and get some sleep. Considering Microsoft just love to bombard it's customers with updates, I decided to let the update run its course while I sleep - I woke up the next morning to find the monitor's not switching on, and later realize that the PC itself is fried.

The bad thing is that work on the site has pretty much gone to shit now, although the HDD survived the damage. Good thing is, after 4 years of waiting, I'm getting a new PC. Happy days!

The news of the Halo 3 footage leak is quite a shock to everyone, although it's great to finally get some progress from the horse's mouth. I've never followed the Halo series religiously, although I must say from this video, I'm definitely going to line up on launch day to get a taste of this. Although the Single Player campaign in almost every Halo game I've played hasn't lived up to its standards, the Multiplayer component seriously looks killer from this footage; Crackdown looks worth purchasing a lot more already.

Speaking of information leaks, remember that game Half-Life 2? Sure you do! Well, some clever chaps from Mighty Crain Films (They specialize in machinima for Half-Life 2 using Garry's Mod) have created this. Amazingly edited, I love how they use bloom to portray summer.

So, yeah, it's been about a month since the last post. Wish I could say my inability to post more is down to being caught up in work, seeing as I'm off for the Easter Holidays and should be revising at least 2 hours daily. Oh goody, the things I have to do to get into college - and the weather's been so great the past 2 weeks.

I've been spewing my guts out since around 11 last night, barely got 3 hours sleep. But you know what? It feels great. Sure, I'm weak my body over - and I get consistent cramps in my stomach (Which later leads to, you've guessed it, MORE VOMITING). I shouldn't bitch; I swear I'm a hypochondriac because I get some vindictive pleasure out of being sick.

For what it’s worth, I haven't done a single bit of work on the site. If you're curious as to why I'm posting to absolutely no-one, it's because this is sort of a work log of all progress done with the site. I-Frames, and all that crap - it's looking surprisingly good seeing as it primarily relies on FrontPage Extensions (If I was any good at web design, I'd damn well be using Dreamweaver by now).
